Knowing at age eight that he was going to be an actor, Antuone Torbert trekked a unique route to becoming one of film and screen's brightest stars. Raised in Youngstown, Ohio by a tenacious single mother, his beginnings were humble and filled with faith. Encouraging Antuone to pursue his dreams while still getting a good education, Antuone attended Pittsburgh Technical Institute after graduating from high school, studying travel and tourism, and obtaining a certification as a Destination Specialist. Helping others meet their travel dreams further fueled Antuone's desire for his own and started pursuing a career in entertainment in earnest.
Along the way, Antuone also became an amateur boxer, a hip-hop dancer (pop and lock), bodybuilder and weightlifter. He received specialized training in handguns and rifles, and a dedicated himself to pursing a totally healthy lifestyle, enabling him to land lead roles in films like Dragon Soldiers and Escape to the Cove, as well as co-star, recurring and guest starring TV roles in shows such as The Green Couch, Blader, Who Shot Biggie & Tupac?.
Discipline and hard work are at Antuone's core. His proudest on-set moment was when Sylvester "Sly" Stallone said to him "You look like you're in good shape!". His phenomenal work ethic and ability to build rapport with his colleagues both on-screen and behind the scenes has led to his success. He also has an uncanny ability to memorize scripts quickly, and a high proficiency for learning new accents, such as the African dialect he spoke in Jurassic Hunt.
"The only person that should out-work you today is the person you're going to be tomorrow!", says the rising star.
As a talented and dedicated bi-coastal actor, great things continue to come Antuone's way including projects such as Speed Demon, a sci-fi action horror adventure currently in development and set for release in late 2021, according to IMDb. In his down time, Antuone is an extremely good cook, and dedicates his time to raising awareness and funds for cancer research and homelessness. He continues to pray, train, and speak to his mom every day, which helps him stay humble while pursuing his dreams.
Antuone resides in Pittsburgh, PA.
